Dr Anthony Karageorgos was born in Trikala-Greece on 10-09-68. He holds a B.Sc. in Applied Mathematics (Aristotle University of Thessaloniki [AUTH], 1991), an M.Sc in Computer Science (University of Essex, UK, 1994), and a PhD in Agent-based Software Engineering, (UMIST, UK, 2003).
He has participated in research projects at AUTH (1989-1997) and he has received funding from British Telecommunications, UK (1999-2003) for research which led to one patent and several international journal and conference publications.
Furthermore, Dr Karageorgos has taught undergraduate and postgraduate courses in the areas of Programming Languages and Software Engineering (1994-1997 at ΤΕΙ of Thessaloniki-Greece, 2005-06 at ΤΕΙ of Lamia-Greece and 2004-06 at University of Thessaly, Greece).
Since May 2006 he has accepted a Lecturer position on the subject "Informatics Applications" at the Department of Forestry and Natural Environment Administration, TEI of Larissa, Greece.
Dr Karageorgos is an Associate Editor of an international journal ( ACM Transactions on Autonomous Adaptive Systems) and he has co-organised 2 international workshops ( ESOA’2003, ESOA’2004) and several other international workgroup meetings in the context of research collaborations on the subject “Self-Organising Multi-Agent Systems“. Furthermore, he has so far served as a Reviewer in 5 international journals and Program Committee member in 21 international conferences. |
